Terms of Use

The rules and conditions that apply when you access Driving Theory and use its educational resources.

Last updated July 31, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to learndrivingtheory.com and the country-specific learning areas, content and features made available through it (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy also apply to your use of the Service.

2. Educational purpose

Driving Theory provides independent educational resources about driving theory, road signs, practice questions and driving-licence procedures. The Service is not a government authority, licensing body, examination provider, driving school or law firm unless a page expressly states otherwise. References to public authorities, trademarks or official materials do not imply affiliation, endorsement or approval.

Content is provided for learning and general information. It is not legal advice and does not replace official instructions, professional driving tuition or the rules applied by an authority or examiner. Traffic laws, exam arrangements, fees, forms and administrative requirements can change and differ by jurisdiction. Before making a legal, safety, booking or licensing decision, verify current requirements with the responsible official authority.

Using the Service does not guarantee that you will pass an examination, obtain a licence or achieve a particular result.

3. Eligibility and responsible use

You may use the Service only if you can lawfully agree to these Terms. If you are below the age at which you can enter into these Terms independently, use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for your own study decisions, answers and use of information. Practice results are indicative learning feedback and are not official examination results.

4. Permitted use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to access and use the Service for lawful educational and informational purposes.

You must not:

  • copy, republish, sell or commercially exploit substantial parts of the Service without written permission;
  • scrape, crawl, harvest, download in bulk or systematically extract content or data, except where allowed by an applicable robots directive or mandatory law;
  • reproduce question banks, structured datasets, designs or source code to create a competing product;
  • bypass access controls, security measures, rate limits or technical restrictions;
  • introduce malware, disrupt the Service or attempt unauthorised access to systems or data;
  • use automated traffic, invalid clicks or other activity that interferes with analytics or advertising systems;
  • submit unlawful, misleading, abusive, infringing or privacy-invasive material; or
  • use the Service in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of another person.

Normal linking, quoting brief extracts with attribution and personal study use are permitted where consistent with applicable law.

5. Feedback and issue reports

You may voluntarily submit corrections, feedback or issue reports. You retain ownership of original material you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and incorporate it for operating, securing and improving the Service. Do not submit confidential information or content that you do not have the right to share.

We are not obliged to implement a suggestion, respond to a report or preserve submitted material.

6. Intellectual property

The Service and its original text, question structures, compilations, software, design, graphics, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to Driving Theory and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

Third-party names, official road signs, source materials and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion is for identification, reference, commentary or educational explanation and does not transfer ownership to us.

The Service may link to official authorities or other third-party websites and may use third-party hosting, analytics and advertising services. Third parties control their own services, content and terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security or practices, and a link does not constitute an endorsement.

8. Advertising

The Service may display advertising supplied by Google AdSense or other advertising providers. Advertisements are selected and delivered by third parties and do not constitute our recommendation or warranty of an advertiser, product or service. Your dealings with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser.

9. Availability and changes

We may add, change, correct, suspend or remove any part of the Service without notice. We do not promise that the Service, a particular country area or any item of content will remain available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or protection of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no express or implied warranty concerning completeness, accuracy, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability or examination outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Driving Theory and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, loss of data, loss of opportunity, examination failure, administrative cost or loss arising from reliance on the Service or inability to use it.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms or infringement of another person's rights. This provision does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer law.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, use creates security or legal risk, or suspension is necessary to protect users, third parties or the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitations of liability—will continue to apply.

14. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the operator of the Service, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Any dispute will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties should make a reasonable effort to resolve the matter directly.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms when the Service, our practices or legal requirements change. The latest revision date appears at the top. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
